Sunflower Mini Sessions | Western Mass mini photographer
For years we have dreamed of doing sessions in a sunflower field. You can imagine our surprise and delight when one of our favorite locations announced they were planting a sunflower field and inviting photographers. It took us all of 5 minutes to decide to set up sunflower mini sessions as soon as possible! If you have never been to Worthington Vineyards and Winery in Somers CT, please go this year! The grounds are gorgeous, the people are so friendly and the wine is great! We love it best in the fall- and try to work in a glass of wine and enjoy the view after our sessions. But now with the sunflowers, is summer going to be our favorite time to visit? It just might be!
The fun of the sunflower mini was the variety of people we got to take us up on this opportunity! Typically we get mostly families, which we love! Kids of all ages. This time we got some seniors too! I mean who could resist their senior pictures in a sunflower field?

As you can see the sunflower mini space gave us some room to run! This is key with little ones- in a studio setting we are limited in our movements. But as you moms know- sometimes your child is not interested in sitting still! That is why we always try to offer both outside and studio mini sessions.

We had not one but two lovely young women choose to do their senior pictures during our mini session- we even worked in an outfit change as well. Mini sessions are great for the senior that doesn’t want a lot of fuss.

This last family lucked out- the sun had fallen behind the trees allowing us to actually go out and explore the field and play around a little. They love Worthington (and Deb- ha ha) so they got to combine all of their favorite things. Ok, Mom does not love pictures but she is a good sport and does it every few years cause she knows how important it is.

Want to stay in the know? You can sign up for Deb’s newsletter here or Danielle’s newsletter here or join them both! We would also love a follow on Facebook or Instagram. And if none of that is your jam, feel free to contact us through our website.
Looking forward to 2026- where should we do mini sessions next?
